UMW Swimmers 5th After Day 2 of Hilltopper Invite
Both the University of Mary Washington men and women's swim teams are in fifth place with limited numbers at the Western Kentucky University Invitational after two days of events.

Saturday saw the Eagles excel, as Stephen Clendenin finished first in the 400 IM at 3:59.77, four seconds faster than his seed time  and an NCAA automatic qualifying time and new school record. Billy Norfolk took second in the 100 yard butterfly at 50.64 with an NCAA provisional qualifying time, and the women's 800 free relay took second at 7:47.85. Members of that quartet included Sarah Crockett, Adriana Lesiuk, Megan DeSmit, and Cameron Figuers.

Cameron Figuers finished second in the women's 400 IM at 4:33.63 with an NCAA "B" cut. The men's 200 medley relay finished third, while the women's 200 medley relay took fourth place.

The meet will conclude on Sunday.
