UMW Swim Teams Split With Gettysburg on Senior Day
The University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams split their dual meet with Gettysburg College on Saturday afternoon at Goolrick Natatorium in the final home meet of the season. The women topped the Bullets, 146-116, while the men fell, 134-128.

Winners for the women included the 200 medley relay (consisting of Sarah Crockett, Megan DeSmit, Kelly Scott, and Adriana Lesiuk) with a time of 1:53.02; Jessica Singer in the 1000 freestyle (10:52.07) and the 500 freestyle (5:29.59); Crockett in the 200 freestyle (1:58.48) and 200 backstroke (2:13.90); Scott in the 100 backstroke (1:03.72); DeSmit in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:10.25) and trhe 200 yard breastsroke (2:30.68); Cameron Figuers in the 200 fly (2:14.02); and Lesiuk in the 100 butterfly (1:01.71).

The men saw wins from the 200 medley relay (Andrew Cole, Peter Slattery, Billy Norfolk, and Brian O'Donnell) at 1:39.51); Andrew Garafolo in the 1000 freestyle (10:11.80); Nick Eckhoff in the 200 freestyle (1:46.18); Norfolk in the 100 fly (52.23) and the 200 fly (1:55.16); Stephen Clendenin in the 200 backstroke (1:56.88) and the 200 IM (1:58.23).

The Eagles will look to retain their longstanding string of Capital Athletic Conference championships in three weeks at St. Mary's College.
