UMW Swim Teams Shine at NCAA Championships With Two All-America Performances
MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. - The University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams shined at the 2010 NCAA Championships with a pair of All-America performances on Friday. The women are 18th overall with 46 points, while the men are tied for 48th with five points.

On Friday, the women's 800 yard freestyle relay (Nina Michelle Sawyer (Warrenton, Va. , Liberty), Cameron Figuers (Cary, N.C., Cardinal Gibbons), Adriana Lesiuk (Bensalem, Pa., Nazareth ), Sarah Crockett (Toano, Va., Lafayette)) finished 11th overall with a time of 7:37.39. 

For the men, junior Stephen Clendenin (Ashburn, Va., Home Schooled) took 13th place in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:52.49.

Sophomore Megan DeSmit (Bridgewater, Va. , Turner Ashby) finished 31st in the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:07.74.
