UMW Swim Teams Sweep CAC Dual Meet From Marymount
FREDERICKSBURG, VA - The nationally-ranked University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams swept a Capital Athletic Conference dual meet from Marymount University on Friday for senior day at Goolrick Natatorium. The Eagle men won, 169-35, while the women won, 148-52.

For the women, Megan DeSmit won the 100 yard freestyle (11:05.23) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.05), while Adriana Lesiuk won the 50 freestyle (25.12) and the 100 freestyle (54.95). Other winners included the 200 medley relay (1:55.73), Lindsay Ancellotti in the 200 freestyle (2:01.16), Cameron Figuers in the 400 IM (4:45.05), Nina Sawyer in the 100 fly (1:00.12), Virginia Page in the 500 free (5:28.07), and the 200 free relay (1:41.88).

The men saw victories from Justin Anderson in the 1000 freestyle (10:24.34) and the 100 free (48.94), the 200 medley relay (1:42.40), Stephen Clendenin in the 200 freestyle (1:48.04), Austin Clark in the 50 free (22.34), Peter Slattery in the 200 IM (2:05.44), Billy Norfolk in the 100 fly (53.16), Nick Eckhoff in the 100 backstroke (56.76), Brad Dunn in the 500 free (4:58.21), Matt DeMarr in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.88), and the all-freshman 200 free relay (1:32.10).

The Eagles will compete at Marymount University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
