#21 UMW Men's Soccer Slips at #17 Johns Hopkins, 1-0

The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at 17th ranked Johns Hopkins University on Saturday night in Baltimore, Md. The Eagles fall to 3-1 on the season.

The game stayed scoreless through the first half, but the Eagles gained a big point of momentum with a red card to a Hopkins player in the 40th minute. The score stood scoreless at intermission.

Despite playing down a man, Hopkins scored the game's lone goal at 52:28. The Eagles outshot the hosts, 16-5, and had 10 corner kicks, to three for the Blue Jays.

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they visit Hood College at 7:00 p.m.
