University of Mary Washington senior goalkeeper Ken Kurtz has been named as the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 5.

Kurtz led 21st ranked Mary Washington to a pair of shutout victories over the weekend, making a pair of saves and snaring several crossing balls from making an offensive impact. The Eagles defeated Mary Baldwin, 2-0, on Saturday, and then topped North Carolina Wesleyan College, 1-0, on Sunday.
