Ben Ahrens Gains United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Honors

University of Mary Washington senior defender Ben Ahrens has been named as a Scholar All-America selection by the United Soccer Coaches on Wednesday. Ahrens, a mathematics major from Richmond, carries a 3.46 grade-point average, and was selected this year as an all-region and all-conference selection for his play on the field as well. The three-time all-conference defender scored four goals and added one assist this season while anchoring the UMW defense.
