University of Mary Washington senior Justin Carey has been named as a first team All-America selection by the United Soccer Coaches, the official coahing organization for NCAA soccer. Carey becomes the seventh All-America pick in program history, and first since 1997.
A midfielder, Carey scored a team-high eight goals and added three assists for 19 points. Three of his scores proved to be game winners. He netted game winners at nationally-ranked Johns Hopkins, at St. Mary's, and at Frostburg State.
Carey adds All-America honors to first team all-region, first team all-conference, and CAC Player of the Year honors.
