#16 UMW Men's Soccer Falls at St. Mary's, 2-0, on Wednesday

The 16th ranked University of Mary Washington men's soccer team saw its seven-game win streak come to an end in a 2-0 loss at St. Mary's College on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference play. The Eagles slip to 11-3-1 overall, and 6-1 in CAC action.

The first half was all UMW, as the Eagles outshot the hosts, 8-0, but couldn't find the net. UMW outshot the Seahawks, 11-7, in the second, but it was St. Mary's who scored at 66:08, as Isaac Ekobo scored on a Khalid Balogun assist. The Seahawks added another at 76:26 on a Juwan Kearson score from Balogun.

In all, the Eagles led in shots, 19-7, as well as in corner kicks, 9-1. UMW goalkeeper Matt Spencer had two saves, while St. Mary's' Zack Haussler had five.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newport University on Saturday at 3:30 pm for Homecoming.
