#20 UMW Men's Soccer Falls to Dickinson in Final Minutes, 1-0, on Wednesday

The 20th ranked University of Mary Washington men's soccer team saw its unbeaten streak end at four as visiting Dickinson College scored with 1:13 remaining in regulation to down the Eagles, 1-0, on Wednesday evening at the Battleground. The Eagles slip to 4-2-1 on the season.

The Eagles led in shots through the opening stanza, but Dickinson gained some control of the ball in the second, outshooting UMW, 8-1, in the second half. Dickinson's Brendan McGovern provided the game winner through traffic inside the left post for the capper.

In all, Dickinson led in shots, 9-5, and in corner kicks, 4-2. UMW goalie Matt Spencer made two saves, while Dickinson's Frederick Meagher also recorded a pair of stops.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday when they host Marymount University at 3:30 pm as part of Eagle Nation Day.
