Mary Washington senior Jacob Burke was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling five goals on just six shots in a 2-0 week, helping the Eagles lock up a top two seed in the CAC Tournament. Burke scored both goals, including the game-winner in double overtime, in a 2-1 win over St. Mary's, and followed that up with a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Wesley. He has nine goals and two assists on the season, including four game-winners.

York junior Ryan Ockford was tabbed as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Spartans' defense hold its opponents to just six shots on goal and one score in a 2-0 week. Ockford led the York defense to a clean sheet in a 4-0 win over Wesley on Wednesday, limiting the Wolverines to 11 total shots and five on goal. In Saturday's win over Salisbury, Ockford and the Spartan defense held the Sea Gulls to just five shots and one shot on goal. Ockford also contributed to the offensive end, scoring game-winning goals in both games.

Christopher Newport is receiving votes in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) rankings ... Just one game remains in the CAC regular season, and CNU (7-0-1 CAC) and Mary Washington (7-1) earned first-round byes and will host the semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 1. St. Mary's (5-2-1) is currently in third, followed by Penn State Harrisburg (5-3), and York (4-3-1) in fourth and fifth, respectively. The sixth and final playoff spot is up for grabs between Frostburg State (3-4-1) and Salisbury (3-5) ... CNU's Jimmy Grace scored three goals and added an assist in wins over Salisbury and Penn State Harrisburg, including the game-winner in both games. Grace is the league's leading scorer and also has a CAC-best five game-winning goals ... Marymount goalkeeper John Valcicak helped the Saints to a 2-0 week with wins over Southern Virginia and Frostburg State. He earned his second career shutout against Southern Virginia and helped the Saints overcome a red card in a 2-1 win over Frostburg State. Valcicak totaled 12 saves for a .923 save %, and currently ranks third in the CAC in saves with 64 this season. Vicente Luna Rivera notched the game-winning goal in overtime against Southern Virginia, the second goal of his freshman campaign ... Nick Tait scored twice in St. Mary's 4-1 win over Southern Virginia. Tait is now tied for second in the CAC in goals (10) and points (23) ... Wesley's Will Mileski scored the Wolverines' only goal this week against Mary Washington, his third of the season and 23rd of his career. The score moved Mileski into seventh in Wesley program history in goals scored and fifth in program history in career points (69) ... York's Joel Teston scored a goal in both games last week, helping the Spartans extend their winning streak to three games.
