YORK, Pa. -- Mary Washington junior Jacob Burke and St. Mary's sophomore Zack Haussler were named the CAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week for Sept. 14, 2015.

Mary Washington junior Jacob Burke was honored as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a pair of goals two minutes apart in the first half of the Eagles 2-1 victory against William Paterson on Friday night. Burke broke open a scoreless game midway through the first half with unassisted tallies in the 27th and 29th minutes of play. Burke's goals moved the Eagles to 5-0 on the season, their best start since 2007, before they fell to Stockton on Saturday.

St. Mary's goalkeeper Zack Haussler was selected as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting a 0.49 goals against average and .917 save percentage in a 1-1 week for the Seahawks. Haussler recorded St. Mary's first shutout win of the season with four saves against Virginia Wesleyan, and turned away a season-best seven shots in a 1-0 defeat to Washington College.

Christopher Newport is the lone CAC team ranked in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Rankings at No. 8 in the nation ... Four Christopher Newport players were named to All-Tournament Team at the Captains Classic, as Offensive MVP Ryan Balfour was joined by Defensive MVP Sean Christein, along with defender Bobby Seifert and goalkeeper Nolan Mann. Earlier in the week, CNU trailed N.C. Wesleyan, 3-1, before storming back for a 4-3 win with all seven goals scored in the first half. Sophomore Girma Baker assisted on the game-tying and game-winning goals ... Marymount goalkeeper Logan Cropper put together a 2-1 record and 0.98 goals against average last week, including a career-high 10 saves against North Carolina Wesleyan. Cropper and the Saints defeated NC Wesleyan (2-1) and Methodist (1-0) to earn the MU Invitational championship ... Wesley's Will Mileski provided an assist on the Navy and White's first goal of a 3-2 victory over Berkeley (N.J.), and then netted the game-winner in overtime, giving the Wolverines the first win of the season ... York tied Alvernia 1-1 on Wednesday followed by a 2-1 road win over Susquehanna on Saturday.
