The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to York College on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action at the Battleground. The Eagles fall to 7-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in league play.
After a scoreless first half, York scored at 62:26 on an unassisted goal by Mike O'Connell. Just over two minutes later, Lucas Emil scored on a penalty kick to cap the scoring at 64:41.
York outshot the Eagles, 11-8, and each team had three corner kicks. York goalie Jese Derksen and UMW's Alec Constantine each had one save in the game.
Mary Washington will next play on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Salisbury University in another CAC contest.
