UMW Men's Soccer Falls at Christopher Newport, 2-0

The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at nationally-ranked Christopher Newport University on Wednesday night in the regular season finale. The Eagles drop to 11-6-1 on the season, and will host a Capital Athletic Conference Tournament 1st Round match on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against Marymount University.

In the game, the Eagles were able to keep the score at 0-0 to halftime. The Captains scored at 58:33 on a goal by Nao Masuda, and against 75:49 for the insurance tally by Kyle Rose.

Christopher Newport outshot the Eagles, 11-4, and each team had five corner kicks. Emmett Rutkowski had seven saves for Mary Washington, while Justin Wolfe had one stop for CNU.
