Fusaro's Big Day Leads MWC Men's Soccer Past York, 3-0, for Homecoming

Senior forward Jason Fusaro scored a pair of goals and assisted on another to lead the Mary Washington College men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over York College of PA on Saturday afternoon at the Battleground for Homecoming 1997. The Eagles improve to 13-2-1 on the season.

Fusaro started the scoring early, netting a pass from Brian Turner at 5:15 to give the Eagles an early lead and get the large crowd into the game. Midway through the first half, Turner then scored (at 22:28) on a pass from Fusaro for a big insurance tally, and the Eagles held a 2-0 advantage through halftime.

Fusaro added his second score of the day in the opening minutes of the second half, taking a pass from Jason Green at 48:47 for the capper.

The Eagles dominated in shots, 23-1, as well as corner kicks, 6-3. J.T. Nino and Ed Burrier combined for the shutout in goal for MWC, without registering a save. Greg Chizulini had four saves for York.
