What is your current career field and job title?
I am currently working in education as a High School Science Teacher (Biomed and Forensic Science) in St. Louis, MO

How did playing lacrosse here at UMW help shape your future?
Playing at UMW help me to maintain my discipline and resilience when I really want something. The camaraderie that I felt and experiences I had I count as some of the best in my life.

How would you say your career has benefited from attending UMW?
I'd say UMW prepared me for studying and learning about a wide range of fields and provided me with a diverse world view.

What did you major in?
BS in Biology. Later received a MS in Biomedical Sciences (UAB) and MS Secondary Education (UAB)

Was your first job after college something that can be linked to UMW? Alumni connections, teammates, college fair etc.
My first job out of UMW was as a Biologist for the American Type Culture Collection in NoVa. I was proud to have my lacrosse experience on my resume and solid reference letters from my esteemed professors at UMW. I also benefited greatly from the mock interviews offered by career services before I graduated.
