Coach Delaney Announces 2024 Men's Lacrosse Captains

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Mary Washington head coach Drew Delaney announced four team captains for the 2024 men's lacrosse season on Wednesday. Graduate students Jackson Popeck and Riley Green will serve as captains for a second season with Senior Justin Hayes and Junior Bryce Ridge joining them in the role for the first time in their collegiate careers.

"I am excited to announce the 2024 Mary Washington men's lacrosse captains," Delaney said. "We are fortunate to have two fifth-year players, in Jackson and Riley, returning to the role. Their experience and dedication to serving their teammates will without doubt continue to drive the culture of our program in the right direction. Justin and Bryce have followed their lead and have demonstrated that same dedication, work ethic and willingness to sacrifice always putting the team first."

"There is no more challenging responsibility than to lead your peers. Each one of these men have demonstrated an eagerness to hold their teammates to a higher standard while also advocating for their teammates to me. I look forward to working with them to lead UMW Lacrosse to heightened academic and athletic success."
