Cole Hogan '19 Named Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Mary Washington

Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Drew Delaney announced the hiring of Cole Hogan, '19 to join his coaching staff for the 2024 season. Hogan will be joining longtime assistant coaches Ian Gallagher and Patrick Finn, who return in their roles as defensive and offensive coordinators, respectively.

"I am very excited to bring Cole home to the UMW Lacrosse Family! Cole is a great lacrosse mind and has proven himself a relentless recruiter," Delaney said. "His experience coaching at the high school and college level, along with his familiarity with our campus and the city of Fredericksburg make him an ideal addition to our staff."

Prior to his arrival at UMW Hogan spent two years at Ferrum College working with the offense and goalies. Hogan got his start in coaching at Stafford High School where he was the head boys varsity coach for the 2020-2021 spring seasons.

A native of Springfield, VA, Hogan graduated UMW in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team starting in 37 games and tallied 80 career points. During his senior campaign, Hogan was second on the team in goals (36) and points (52).
