UMW Men's Lacrosse Tops Lebanon Valley, 14-3, on Wednesday

The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team defeated Lebanon Valley College, 14-3, on Wednesday afternoon in Annville, Pa. The Eagles improve to 2-3 on the season.

The Eagle offense came early and often in the first two quarters. UMW opened with the first nine goals, holding the Dutchmen scoreless into the fourth quarter. UMW opened with Kristophe Newman scoring the first two goals, with Jackson Davis and Cameron Walker adding tallies in the first.

In the second, Michael Seraphin-Jones opened the second quarter scoring, and Walker, Logan Green, and Kevin Cruz following. J.D. Nozemack connected for four assists in the half.

Hunter Tipton connected for the only score of the third quarter. Leb Valley scored in the fourth, before Walker, Nozemack, and John Staugaitis connected for the Eagles. The Dutchmen followed with two goals, before Newman and Staugaitis capped the scoring for UMW.

Newman and Walker led UMW with three goals apiece, while Nozemack added a goal and four assists. 

UMW led in shots, 50-30, as well as ground balls, 38-18. UMW goalkeeper Riley Green made ten saves in three quarters without allowing a score, while Noah Smith made one stop in the fourth. Staugaitis led UMW with seven ground balls.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday, when they host Bridgewater College at 3:30 p.m.
