Dick and Kelly Pace Eagles Past McDaniel, 12-7, on Saturday

Westminster, Md.-- The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team picked up their third win of the year, with a 12-7 victory over McDaniel. Billy Kelly and Luke Dick each scored four goals to lead the Eagles past the Green Terror. 

John Bohlinger got the scoring started with an unassisted tally early in the first quarter. Following a McDaniel goal, Billy Kelly scored man up from Luke Dick to end the first with the Eagles winning 2-1. Dick and Griffin Burke then scored goals to increase the lead to 4-1. Dick scored unassisted, with Griffin recieving a Chip Pittard pass to score the goal. McDaniel's Sean Brett ended the half with a goal to cut the deficit to 4-2.

McDaniel cut the lead to one with a goal to open the half, before Luke Dick scored twice to get the lead back to 6-3. Pittard and Kelly provided the assists on the Dick goals. Jared Krikorian padded the lead with an unassisted tally midway through the quarter. The Eagles outscored the Green Terror 5-3 in the final quarter. Dick and Joey Marson each scored once, with Billy Kelly scoring three times to seal the win. 

Zach DelGrosso made 13 saves for the Eagles on 20 shots faced. Even though McDaniel won more faceoffs, 16-22, the Eagles forced the Green Terror into 15 turnovers.

The Eagles return home on Wednesday, February 26th against Ferrum at 3:00 p.m.
