University of Mary Washington junior goalie Ryan Montgomery (Chapel Hill, N.C., Chapel Hill) was named the CAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the week of March 7-13. Montgomery took over as the starting netminder for the Eagles and contributed a pair of 11-save performances in non-conference victories for the Eagles over Eastern University and the College of Wooster. He boasted a .685 save percentage and added three ground balls to bolster the UMW defense.
