UMW Men's Lacrosse Drops 12-5 Decision to SUNY Oneonta


FREDERICKSBURG, VA - The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team dropped a 12-5 decision to visiting SUNY Oneonta on Saturday. The Eagles fall to 0-3 on the season. 

The Eagles were led by Brian Deal and Brian Meaney who each scored two goals and one assist. UMW led early, but allowed five second quarter goals and could never recover.

Oneonta outshot the Eagles, 38-24, and had 38 ground balls to 23 for UMW. The Eagles won 10 faceoffs, and sophomore Matt Prin made 17 saves in net for the Eagles.

Oneonta was led in scoring by Mike Salerno's four goals. Sean Reynolds had nine saves for Oneonta.

The Eagles will host Christopher Newport University next Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
