Men's basketball senior Greg Rowson has been named as the Virginia Lottery Male Athlete of the Month for February, 2023.

Rowson led the Eagles to the NCAA Tournament with the strength of an impressive February. Rowson averaged 17.3 points per game in nine games, netting at least 12 points in every game. He also grabbed 62 rebounds (6.9 per game), as the Eagles advanced to the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference championship. UMW would go on to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014, and advance to the second round.

Rowson finished the seaosn averaging 16.9 PPG and 6.3 rebounds, both career highs.
