UMW Men's Basketball Falls at #10 Johns Hopkins on Sunday

The University of Mary Washington men's basketball team dropped a 92-58 decision at 10th ranked Johns Hopkins University on Sunday afternoon to fall to 4-1 on the season.

The Blue Jays shot a crisp 49.3% from the field for the day (33-67), making 17-36 three point attempts and 9-16 free throws, while the Eagles struggled on the road, shooting just 30.4% (14-46), making just 6-21 three point tries and 24-33 free throws. 

Hopkins built a 21-point halftime lead, and outscored the Eagles, 44-31, in the second.

Mary Washington was led by senior forward Greg Rowson, who scored 20 points on 6-11 shooting (3-5 from three-point range). Also in double figures were senior forward Emmanuel Aghayere and freshman guard Dorian Davis, who each scored 10 points. Senior guard Da'Shawn Cook led UMW with six rebounds.

The Eagles will return to action on Wenesday when they host Methodist University at 7:00 p.m. at Rosner Arena.
