
Freshman guard Bradley Riester scored a career-high 21 points to lead five Eagles in double figures as the University of Mary Washington men's basketball team defeated the University of Central Bayamon, 100-79, on Saturday in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Eagles, winners of seven straight, improve to 9-2 on the season, matching last year's win total.
Sophomore forward J.R. Gray added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles. Matt Boward scored 13 points, Walt Smith added 13 points and four assists, and Mike Harvey added 12 for UMW, who shot 46.6% from the floor for the game with nine three point baskets.
Mary Washington will be in action again on January 5 when it hosts Salisbury University at 4:00 p.m.
