Boward knocked down 22 points in a mid-week victory over Stevenson, including four long-range shots, then drained four more bombs two nights later on the way to 21 points in a road win at Frostburg State. Boward, who scored 43 of his 56 points this season in this week’s games, also added a team-best seven rebounds at FSU.
Whaley began the week by tying his career-high with 27 points, including four three-point goals and six rebounds, in a mid-week win against Wesley. Saturday at Marymount, he had 18 points, four caroms and three steals in just 20 minutes. For the week, Whaley was 14-for-22 from the field (63.6%), including 7-for-8 from three-point range, and 10-for-12 from the free throw line (87.5%).
