Mary Washington freshman Sebastien Bonte secured CAC Men's Golfer of the Week after taking first place individually and leading the Eagles to a second-place team finish at the UMW Eagles Invitational last week. Bonte shot back-to-back rounds of 73 for a 146, which tied for top honors, and he won the overall tournament via a scorecard tiebreaker.

NOTES AROUND THE CONFERENCE

Seven CAC teams competed last week, including five teams at the Eagle Invitational hosted by Mary Washington ... Southern Virginia sophomore Cameron Speyer tied for fourth individually at the Virginia State Trojan Invitational with back-to-back rounds of eight-over 80 for a two-day total of 160 ... Wesley senior Tyler Spielberger tied for eighth place at the UMW Eagle invitational, shooting nine-over-par with a two-day total of 151 ... York captured its second straight tournament championship at the UMW Eagle Invitational this past weekend. The Spartans were paced by sophomore Morgan Uhlick as he came back to his home area and shot a two-day total of 147. Uhlick finished third, one stroke off the top spot.
