UMW Men's Golf Finishes Two Shots Out Of First at Bay Creek; Bonte Takes Medalist Honors

Freshman Sebatien Bonte gained medalist honors by shooting an even par 72, one day after shooting a (-1) 71 on Monday, as the University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished in second place at the Bay Creek Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. UMW finished two shots behind first place Christopher Newport University, with a two-day score of 604.

Bonte gained medalist honors after his 71-72 event. Sophomore Phillip Manceri shot 78-75 to tie for seventh place, and sophomores Ethan Kelly and Jason Guintu each shot a cumulative 154 to tie for ninth place overall.

The Eagles will be back in action next weekend at the Green Turtle Invitational in Winchester, Va.
