UMW Field Hockey Falls at Lynchburg, 1-0, on Wednesday Evening

The University of Mary Washington field hockey team dropped a tight 1-0 decision at the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday evening in Lynchburg. The Eagles slip to 3-2 on the season.

After a scoreless first quarter, Lynchburg tallied the only goal of the game in the second, with 24:55 elapsed on a penalty corner. 

In all, both teams tallied 10 shots on the day, while the Hornets led in penalty corners, 8-3. UMW goalkeeper Bailey McNabb made six saves on the day.

The Eagles will return to action on Saturday at Randolph-Macon College at 1:00 p.m.
