Mary Washington freshman Lauren Hopkins was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year after totaling three goals and four assists last week in a pair of CAC wins for the Eagles. She opened the week with two goals and three assists in a 5-1 win over York, before adding a goal and an assist in a victory over Wesley. The Eagles' leading scorer as a freshman, Hopkins has 14 goals and 11 assists on the season (39 points).

Salisbury junior Tressie Windsor was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting two victories in the cage last week, helping the Sea Gulls secure the No. 1 seed in the CAC Tournament. Windsor recorded two saves in an overtime win against CNU last Wednesday, and needed just one save to come up with her fifth solo shutout of the year (and seventh overall) at St. Mary's. She had a 0.48 goals against average and .750 save percentage for the week.

Salisbury moved up one spot to No. 2 in last week's Penn Monto / National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, while York was one of five teams receiving votes ... With just one game remaining in the regular season, the five-team CAC Tournament field is set. Salisbury (5-0 CAC) has earned the No. 1 seed, while Mary Washington (4-1) and Christopher Newport (3-2) will meet on Wednesday in a game that will go a long way in determining seeds No. 2-4. York (3-2) has also secured a No. 2-4 seed and will host Frostburg State in its regular season finale on Wednesday, while St. Mary's (2-4) is the No. 5 seed will travel to the No. 4 seed in the first round on Sunday, Oct. 30 ... CNU's Rachel Cooke registered a goal in both games during the week, including a second-half strike against No. 2 Salisbury, which sent the game to overtime ... Frostburg State senior Jacqueline Gover made 17 saves in two games last week, including tying a season-best 14 in a loss to CNU ... Mary Washington sophomore goalie Jessica Cavolt made three saves in a 5-1 win over York, and added 35 minutes of scoreless play without a save in an 8-0 win over Wesley ... Brady Wolf helped St. Mary's lock up a playoff spot with two goals and an assist in its 4-1 win at Wesley ... Salisbury's Annah Brittingham recorded a goal and one assist in each of the Sea Gulls' CAC wins this past week. Sophomore Madison Angulas scored her first career goal for Salisbury, putting home the game-winner against Christopher Newport in overtime. ... Wesley's Kasey Fry made a career-high four defensive saves in a loss to Mary Washington on Saturday. The sophomore defender has recorded nine defensive saves on the year, which ranks second in the CAC behind teammate Morgan Seymour.
