University of Mary Washington field hockey senior Haley Kane has been named to the 2016 Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III National Scholars of Distinction team. Scholars of Distinction recognizes those student-athletes who have attained at least a 3.9 grade point avergage for the fall 2015 semester.

Kane, a 2015 third team All-American, gained All-America honors for the second straight year, after collecting all-region honors for the fourth straight time after finishing third in school history in assists. She finished with 36 goals and 28 assists, good for 100 career points. She was a first team all-conference pick as well.
