University of Mary Washington field hockey players Jaci Marshall (Annapolis, Md., Annapolis) and Emma Jones (Yorktown, Va., York) were named to the 2009 All-South Region Team, as selected by Longstreth and the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday. Both were selcted for the second team.

Marshall, a four-time All-Capital Athletic Conference selection at defender, gains all-region status the same day she was selected to play in the NFHCA National Senior All-Star game this Sunday at the national championship site at Mount Holyoke College.

Jones led the Eagles in scoring with 15 goals and seven assists in 20 games for the Eagles, who finished with a 12-8 overall record.
