Mary Washington junior forward EMMA JONES (Yorktown, Va./York) was named the CAC Field Hockey Player of the Week after contributing at least one goal and one assist in both of the Eagles’ wins this week. Jones opened the week with a goal and a pair of assists, helping the hosts pull away in the second half for a victory over CAC rival Hood. Saturday, Jones found the cage with one shot and assisted on UMW’s other goal in a 2-0 win at Va. Wesleyan, raising her season total to 25 points in 14 games on 10 goals and five helpers. This is the second time this season Jones has won the award.
