The University of Mary Washington Equestrian team competed at Liberty University today with several top ribbons.

Junior Maggie Lebor started the Eagles off strong with a first place finish in Open Flat. Senior Julianna Ianuzi followed with a second place finish in her respective section of Open Flat. Senior Megan Mahoney earned second place in Intermediate Flat. Junior Erin Gray earned a second place finish in Limit flat and junior Virginia Newman earned third place in her respective section of Limit Flat. Junior Erika South earned a second place finish in Limit Fences. Freshman Shannon McGowan placed second in Novice Flat. Junior Rachel Wright earned a second place finish in Introductory Flat and freshman Erin Kenealy wrapped the day up for the eagles with a third place finish in her respective section of Introductory Flat. 

The next show for the UMW Equestrian team will be on February 9th hosted by Sweet Briar College.
