UMW Riders Claim Nine First Place Finishes in Taking Old Dominion Show on Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday was indeed super for the UMW riding team, who took nine first place finishes en route to a first place finish with 41 points at the Old Dominion University show in Virginia Beach.

Nikki Ferrell finished first in her open on the flat class, as did Kimberly Counts. Fallon Wright took first in her intermediate on the flat class, and Daniel Odum won his intermediate over fences class.

Olivia Blake won her novice on the flat class, and Victoria Shiel and Allie Perez won their walk trot canter classes.

Allison Skowronski and Mary Catherine Morton won their beginning walk trot canter classes. Counts was named as reserve high point rider for the day.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday when they visit the Virginia Commonwealth show in Richmond.
