UMW Riding Team Ties for First at Richmond Show

The University of Mary Washington riding team opened its regional show competition on Saturday at a show hosted by Randolph-Macon College and the University of Richmond. The Eagles tied VCU for first place in the day's results.

Senior Molly Banfield finished first in her open on the flat class, and Kimberly Counts was first in her novice over fences class. Emily Dunn was first in her novice over fences class, Emily Dunn was first in her novice over fences class, Thomas Odum in his advanced walk-trot-canter class, and Michelle Lee in her walk-trot class.

Banfield closed the day as the event's high-point rider, with Dunn taking reserve high-point rider.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 6 at VCU.
