The University of Mary Washington riding team finished in eighth place at the annual Tournament of Champions on Saturday. 

For the Eagles, senior Brittany Hill (Frederick, Md., Linganore) finished in first in her class in open on the flat, and Molly Banfield (Wake, Va., Christchurch) took third in her class in intermediate over fences.

The team will return to regional competition on February 19-20 when UMW hosts its annual shows at Hazelwild Farm.
