The University of Mary Washington riding team captured four first place finishes in claiming team champion honors at the UMW show on Sunday at Hazelwild Farm. The Eagles' seven point victory puts them into a tie for first place in the region standings with Goucher College with two shows remaining on the calendar.

On Sunday, Brittany Hill (Frederick, Md., Linganore) took first place in open equitation over fences and Hannah Woll (Katonah, N.Y., John Jay) placed first in intermediate on the flat. Christine Cook (Baltimore, Md., Bryn Mawr) was first in novice on the flat, and Clair Maher (Alexandria, Va., T.C. Williams) took first in advanced walk-trot-canter.

The Eagles will compete again on March 27 at the Goucher College show.
