The University of Mary Washington baseball team swept a doubleheader from St. Mary's College in Capital Athletic Conference action on Saturday at St. Mary's. The Eagles improve to 16-6 overall and 9-4 in CAC play.
In game one, Seamus Bergen went 3-4 with four runs scored, Eric Rehbein was 3-5 with a run and 2 RBI, and Jackson Clement was 2-4 with two runs and an RBI. Aaron Byrd hit a bases-clearing pinch hit triple.
On the mound, John Miscioscia picked up the win to move to 4-0 on the season, going five strong innings. Nick Corbin earned the save with two innings of relief.
In the nightcap, sophomore Ryan Engelking threw a complete game one hitter as the Eagles won, 8-0. Engelking struck out five and walked one. Offensively, Will Wright went 3-4 with four RBI and Seth Jordan was 2-4 with a double. Jeff Zeisler tripled and scored twice.
The Eagles will return to action on Wedenesday as they visit Stevenson University for a CAC contest.
