With the heart of a potentially historic snow storm in the forecast, all UMW Athletics varsity events for the weekend have been cancelled or postponed.

The Eagles will not be travelling to Susquehanna University on Friday night for the track meet. The horse show Tournament of Champions at Hazelwild Farm on Saturday has been cancelled, as has the swim meet at Gettysburg College.

Saturday's basketball doubleheader against York College has been postponed until Monday night, with the women tipping off at 6 p.m., and the men following at 8 p.m.

A blizzard warning has been issued for the Fredericksburg area from Friday at 1 p.m. until Monday at 6 a.m.
