#15 Men's Tennis Rebounds to Top Division I Longwood, 6-1, on Saturday Night

After dropping a heartbreaking 4-3 decision to Division I George Mason University on Saturday afternoon, the University of Mary Washington men's tennis team rebounded to defeat Longwood University, 6-1, on Saturday night to improve to 1-1 on the year.

As in their match earlier in the day, UMW swept the doubles matches to gain the doubles point. Singles wins from Tyler Carey at one, Stratton Gilmore at two, Evan Charles at four, Eric Hurwitz at five, and Andrew Curtis at six followed, giving the Eagles the 6-1 win.

The Eagles will return to action on February 15 when they hosy Division I Loyola (Md.) at 4:00 p.m.
