UMW Women's XC Picked 2nd in Coast 2 Coast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll

The University of Mary Washington women's cross country team was chosen in a tie for second place, with one first place vote, in the 2021 Coast 2 Coast Athletic Conference's preseason coaches' poll. The Eagles tied with UC Santa Cruz, with 19 points.

Mary Washington will feature a veteran lineup in 2021, including 11 upperclassmen, with the hopes of again challenging for the conference title. Seniors Kenzie Lloyd and Amber Zipfel and junior Grace Pippin will look to lead the pack, as all three turned in quality performances at the 2019 conference championship as well as at NCAA regionals.

The 2021 season kicks off the first week of September and concludes with the C2C Cross Country Championships being hosted by UC Santa Cruz on Saturday, October 30th. The meet will take place at Baylands Regional Park in Sunnyvale, California near San Jose.
