#23 UMW Women's Tennis Tops Haverford, 5-4, to Improve to 6-5

The 23rd ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Haverford College on Friday evening at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 6-5 on the season.

The Eagles opened with a pair of wins in doubles, as Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey defeated Abbey Russano and Ellie Esterowitz, 8-5, at one, and Emily Beckner and Addison Felts topped Summer Williams and Mary Lavin at two, 8-6.

In singles, Hagino was victorious at one over Russano, 6-2, 6-4, and Riley Smith topped Williams at six, 6-1, 6-1. Addison Felts won a three-setter over Racael Fitzgerald, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0.

The Eagles will be back in action next Saturday against Carnegie Mellon University at home at 1:00 p.m.
