#21 UMW Women's Tennis Tops NC Wesleyan, 6-3, on Wednesday

The 21st ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated North Carolina Wesleyan College, 6-3, on Wednesday afternoon at the Hegmann Family Tennis Courts. The Eagles improve to 4-5 on the season.

In doubles, the Eagles swept all three matches, with Amanda Hagino and Hana Kimmey winning at one, 8-4, Abby Moghtader and Rebecca Stepleman winning at two, 8-2, and Riley Smith and Emily Beckner winning at three, 8-3.

In singles, the Eagles gained wins from Hagino at two, 6-3, 6-4, Kimmey at three, 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, and Stepleman at four, 6-3, 6-4.

UMW will return to action on Sunday when the Eagles host Franklin & Marshall College at 12:00 p.m.
