#13 UMW Women's Tennis Falls at #24 Trinity TX, 5-4

The 13th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at 24th ranked Trinity (TX) University on Friday night in San Antonio, Texas. The Eagles slip to 6-3 on the season.

The Eagles trailed after doubles, as UMW fell in two matches by the closest of margins. Abby Moghtader and Lauren Quinn fell at one, 8-7 (6), and Claire Coleman and Amanda Hagino dropped an identical score at two, 8-7 (6). Han Kimey and Emily Beckner scored an 8-3 win at three for a point for the Eagles.

In singles, Moghtader scored a 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory at one over Olivia Kimm, and Quinn added another win with a 3-6, 6-0, 6-0 win at two singles over Cate Bushing. Kimmey scored another point with a 6-4, 7-5 win at five over Jenna Lee.

The Eagles will be back in action on  Saturday at 4:00 p.m. against #21 Washington (MO) University.
