Mary Washington's Zagrobelny and Klein Sweep NJAC Women's Swimming Weekly Honors
PITMAN, N.J. --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's swimming weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 15.
 
SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
BRIDGET ZAGROBELNY • University of Mary Washington
Junior • East Aurora, NY/East Aurora

Zagrobelny becomes the first swimmer in Mary Washington history to earn NJAC Swimmer of the Week honors, as the Eagles joined the conference as an affiliate member this season. She turned in the conference's fastest times so far in each of the four events she competed in over the weekend at UMW's season-opener at Washington & Lee. She won the 100 breaststroke (1:07.72), the 200 breast (2:27.33), and the 200 IM (2:15.35), and swam a leg of UMW's winning 200 medley relay (1:49.55).

Klein is the first-ever Mary Washington swimmer to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week after UMW joined as an affiliate member prior to this season. She put together a solid collegiate debut in UMW's season opener at Washington & Lee, finishing second overall in the 500 free and fourth in the 200 free. Her 500 free time of 5:30.16 is the fastest by an NJAC swimmer so far this season and her 200 free time of 2:02.36 is third-fastest among all NJAC swimmers.
