UMW Women's Soccer Dominates Again in Victory over Mt. Aloysius

After exploding with 30 shots in a 6-0 victory on Sunday, the Mary Washington women's soccer team (4-1) launched 19 more on Wednesday night in a 2-0 victory at Mt. Aloysius in Cresson, Pa.

Senior midfielder Riley Boyd (24') and sophomore midfielder Madison Bauserman (79') scored the Eagles two goals. Bauserman (four) and Boyd (five) accounted for nearly half of UMW's attempts at the net. Of Boyd's five shots, four were on goal, which was an individual-high for the Eagles.

Senior forward Macey Wissell (three), first-year forward Maci Landel (two), Sophomore midfielder Ellen Shine (two), junior forward Jazzy Imanverdi (one), sophomore forward Regan Boyer (one) and sophomore forward Faith Hattersley (one) all accounted for the Eagles' 10 other shots.

First-year keeper Sydney Alexander started for the Eagles in goal once again, running her season record up to 4-1. Alexander faced one shot in the first half, which resulted in a save.

With the Eagles' lead and dominant play, sophomore keeper Adriana Thompson saw action for the entirety of the second half -- the third time she's done so this season. Mt. Aloysius shot the ball twice in the second half and came up empty both times with Thompson recording her lone save of the afternoon.

The Eagles travel to Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday with first touch scheduled for 7 p.m.
