The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the second week of the 2023 women's lacrosse season. Mary Washington's Maya Koebke picked up C2C Offensive Player of the Week honors, while teammate Cailyn Tripp earned C2C Defensive Player of the Week acclaim.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Maya Koebke - Mary Washington
Freshman Maya Koebke continued her torrid scoring, with three goals and adding three assists as Mary Washington opened the week with an 18-8 win at Randolph-Macon. She followed that performance with five goals and an assist in UMW's 13-5 win over Shenandoah on Saturday. For the week, she scored eight goals on 11 shots, and added four assists in the two victories.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cailyn Tripp - Mary Washington
Junior Cailyn Tripp turned in two more stellar performances to open the season, as she recorded wins over Randolph-Macon and Shenandoah this week, allowing 13 goals against 24 saves for a 64.9% save percentage.
