No. 20 UMW Women’s Basketball Runs Over Meredith

To open its season, No. 20 Mary Washington women's basketball ran over Meredith, 85-32, in Raleigh, N.C.

To open the game, UMW shutout Meredith in the first quarter, 24-0, before coasting through the next three quarters. 

Jordan Carpenter led the Eagles in scoring with 18 points, while Keagan Schwab scored 15 points and made a pair of 3-pointer's.

On the day, the Eagles were 29-of-65 (44%) from the floor and made a trio of 3's. 

Defensively, the Eagles held Meredith to just a 13-of-50 day from the floor -- a 26% clip. Meredith was just 2-of-14 from deep.

Meredith turned the ball over 36 times, which led to 37 UMW points.

Next, the Eagles head up to York, Pa. to take on Grove City at 7 p.m.
