Virginia Lottery Presents Inside the Nest: Kayla Mann, Softball

Once again in 2021-22, Virginia Lottery presents "Inside the Nest", a series of profiles of UMW Athletics student-athletes and staff. The most recent featured student-athlete is senior softball standout Kayla Mann!

Favorite part about being a UMW student-athlete:
I get to study what I love while playing the sport I love with the best group of people. 

Favorite thing to do in Fredericksburg:
Going downtown and trying new restaurants  

Fun fact about me:
I played volleyball, softball, soccer, and basketball in high school, and received a state championship ring for basketball. 

Favorite UMW memory:
Traveling to Arizona for our spring break tournament 

What has playing at UMW meant to you:
Playing at UMW has been such a great experience for me. I have made so many new friendships, traveled to two states I had never been to, and have made so many great memories. 

Post-graduate plans:
To go to graduate school to get my master's in athletic training
